RESOLUTION
Ratifying
the State Congresses’ Resolutions Proclaiming H.E. Prof. Nur
Misuari as President of Bangsamoro Homeland
WHEREAS,
H.E. Prof. Nur Misuari is internationally recognized leader of
the Bangsamoro Homeland who is clothed with the collective trust
and confidence as well as sovereign will of his people;
WHEREAS,
H.E. Prof. Nur Misuari has consistently for decades represented
his people and Homeland in the Summits of the Muslim Heads of
State and Government and in the Islamic Foreign Ministers
meetings of the 56 member-countries of the Organization of
Islamic Conference (OIC);
WHEREAS,
H.E. Prof. Nur Misuari plays stellar and chief executive role in
steering the national fate and political destiny of the
Bangsamoro people in their struggle for self-determination;
WHEREAS,
H.E. Prof. Nur Misuari, the Central Committee Chairman of the
MNLF, the sole and legitimate representative of the Bangsamoro
people in the OIC, had signed on behalf of the Great people of
Bangsamoro, the international documents of peace – the 1976
Tripoli Agreement, the 1987 Jeddah Accord, and the historic
September 2, 1996 Final Peace Agreement – with the government
of the Republic of the Philippines and with the active
participation of the OIC.
RESOLVED,
as it is hereby resolved that the 4th Bangsamoro
People’s National Congress in Assembly at Cabatangan Complex,
Zamboanga City, ratified the State Congress Resolution of the
different state revolutionary committees of the MNLF as well as
the resolutions of the Religious, Youth, Women and all other
sectors in our Homeland, proclaiming H.E. Prof. Nur Misuari as
the president of the Bangsamoro National Homeland, with all the
pertinent powers, duties, responsibilities and privileges
inherent in the position.
RESOLVED
FURTHER, that copies of this ratification of resolution be
furnished the following: Secretary General, Organization of
Islamic Conference, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; the OIC
Ministerial Committee of the Seven; the Secretary General of the
United Nations, New York; the Chairman, GRP Peace Panel; and the
Central Committee of the MNLF.
